D. Shostakovich: Symphony No. 7 (Leningrad)

For megalomaniacs whose preferences are somewhat more classical, the last concert of the series includes pieces of great Russian composers. In addition to Modest Mussorgsky’s Songs and Dances of Death, the programme will include, after a long pause, Dmitry Shostakovich’s Leningrad Symphony, a piece well-known for its excessive duration, complexity and instrumentation. The concert is entrusted to experienced conductor Daniel Raiskin.
